If your answer is “yes!” then my next question to you is “how?” You might have been following my blogs that you bravely answer- “through copywriting of course!” Smart kid! I will stamp a star on your right hand for being so smart! Now go back to your seat so I can show you the essential elements of a good copy.
Have you heard of the song “Si Aida o si Lorna o si Fe” by Marco Sison? For the non-Filipino readers, the title meant- “pick a name: Aida, Lorna, or Fe?” It is a song about a confused man. He listed three names of women who are closest to his heart. He can only love one, so he needs to choose only one name among the three. Now that you all know what the song is about, whom would you choose?
If you chose Aida, you made an excellent choice! I will stamp another star on your forehead… show it to mommy, ok!
Why did I choose Aida? Because Aida is smart, Aida can make me RICH! Aida is the smartest sales girl! Here is the ultimate reason why I chose AIDA:
Attention
Interest
Desire
Action (call to Action)
And now, I introduce you to the most popular sales formula of copywriting:
A > I > D > A = Sale
Write your sales page or sales letter by first grabbing your reader’s Attention. This is the most crucial part of any sales copy. Failure to grab the reader’s Attention is failure to make a sale. That is a guarantee! I did not create that guarantee. It is just a fact if you want to sell online! After you grab their attention, you write further and try to lock-in their Interest in your product. Once the interest has been planted-in, you create a Desire in them. The kind of desire that makes your product sold! The desire is so powerful that all you have to do is call them to take Action.
Simple are they not? They do not necessarily mean easy though! Worry not! I will teach you how you can apply the AIDA formula to your products or services on my next article. So do not touch that remote control and stay tuned for more!
